Oenologist, graduated with a doctorate inIndustry of Sciences and Wine, Honorary Director General of the Suze la RousseUniversity of Wine in the Southern Rhône Valley, Patrick Galant has been aprecious adviser for more than 40 years for Le Domaine de La Présidente. Hecarried this mission until 2008 and succeeded René Aubert after he died. He wasalso a close friend of Max Aubert.
As a farmer, curious and passionate, heexpanded his viticulture and oenology to many regions (Chili, Greece, Italy,Portugal...) putting into place the notion of soils by improving techniques. Hepublished several books and he is now the leader of “La Commanderie des Côtesdu Rhône” as “the Grand Maître” of the establishment. Patrick Galant gave his name to theseexceptional wines which he followed up all along the wine process.

Manuel berry selection at the harvest. Destalking. Cold pellicular maceration (5°C) for 2 days. Fermentation during 20 days at a progressive temperature reaching 30°C, then 3 stomping of the grapes per day at the end of the vinification. Pumping over the juice. Aged in oak barrels (French oak), American and Bulgarian : 1/3 in one-year oak, 1/3 in two-year oak, 1/3 without wood.
Purple colour, limpid and concentration. Nose typical and distinguished with red fruit aromas. Powerful palate with all the finesse of smooth tannins with notes of kirsch. Ideal with red meats, game, truffle based dishes. Served at room temperature.
